Making a Difference

Last week, Scouts from Troop 96 helped at two Service Projects.  As we have for the past several years, the Troop works during winter months at PADS to help provide shelter for those without.  On Thursday evening, thirteen Scouts plus nine adults and one helpful sister made a difference while working at the United Protestant Church in downtown GL.

Scouts prepared the room and made pads for sleeping. Helping out were: Eric O, Joey C, Nathan T, Nathan C, Jonathan L, Jim B, Kyle J, Fritz K, Dalton N, Nick B (and sister Emma), Matthew S, Christian M and David H.  In addition, Mr. Cambio, Mt. Timmins, Mrs. Judge, Mr. Borovka, Mr. and Mrs. Symonds, Mr. Mack and Mr. Klemens were on hand as well.  We also helped out at the Grayslake Cub Scouting Revival on Wednesday night at Frederick School.  We ran various games and helped to make new Cub Scouts feel welcome to join Scouting.  Participating were Spencer B, Nathan C, Nathan T, Dalton N, David H as well as Mr. Cibula, Mr. Nitto and Mr. Klemens.
