Troop Arrowmen Meeting on Dec 2

Hello Arrowmen of Troop 96,
This next Tuesday evening, December 2nd, we will be having the Troop 96 Arrowmen meeting at Mr. Symond’s place. The meeting will be from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. Since December is the time of giving, I would like each Scout and adult who comes to bring (at least) one can of food which will be donated to a local food bank. I would like to discuss what service projects we can do so please come with ideas. Please bring a dessert/snack to share. People will need to bring their own beverage.
In cheerful service,
Andrew G

PLC Training Postponed

The Intro to Leadership Skills Training session scheduled for this Saturday, Nov 29 has been postponed due to limited attendance over the Thanksgiving weekend.  The session will be re-scheduled in January.  Watch the website for the announcement.

Life to Eagle Information

Finding your way from Life to Eagle is attainable, just ask our current Eagle Scouts, they know the way.  Those who have earned the rank can be your guide, they have taken the challenge to continue to serve and live the Oath and Law.

For specific step-by-step information, the Council website has a good document here or paste this URL into your browser

You can also get our Troop’s Life to Eagle presentation here.

Lastly, we will be holding a “Life-to-Eagle” workshop in early 2015.  Watch the website for the announcement.

It’s almost here…our annual Gear Auction

Our Annual Gear Auction will be held on December 1 as part of our regular Troop Meeting.   What is a Gear Auction, you ask?

Well, think of it this way:  find all the camping gear at your house that you don’t use or need anymore (old tents, sleeping bags, flashlights, mess kits, fishing poles, etc etc).  Bring them to an upcoming Troop Meeting (including Dec 1) and donate ’em to the troop.  On Dec 1, we will auction off all items to the highest bidder (but remember a Scout is Thrifty).  All money collected is added to the Troop’s treasury.

You can use your Scout Account (if your parents agree) or bring cash.  Either way, we have a good time – but only if you find and bring in your unused gear!
