We think it’s the best way to celebrate the Memorial Day weekend. Plan to have the family participate and enjoy some service and fellowship. You will be inspired!

This Monday, May 22, the troop will recognize the accomplishments of our Scouts since last January. All parents, families and friends are invited to join in celebrating their efforts.

Troop 96 is heading to Wisconsin this weekend. On Saturday, the Scouts will have the opportunity to go rock climbing and hiking at Devil’s Lake State Park. We’ll be camping at nearby Mirror Lake State Park near Baraboo.
Permission slips are due tonight along with $15 cash for purchase of food. Two Scouts from each patrol will do the shopping.
Additionally, a climbing waiver form will also need to be signed. The form will be available at tonight’s meeting.
This month, we head back to Wisconsin for a weekend of climbing and hiking at Devil’s Lake State Park. The troop will camp in nearby Mirror Lake State Park on Friday and Saturday.
Permission Slips are due on Sept 11, along with a waiver document (also available at the Troop Meeting). Scouts pay $15 cash to their patrol for two members of the patrol to do the grocery shopping for the campout.

The Almond Road Cleanup was on the 28th of April from 9:00 to 11:00 am with 11 scouts and 5 adults.
Everyone had a great time cleaning up lots of trash along the road and with donuts and hot chocolate at the end. This was a great way to earn 2 conservation service hours for rank advancement.

Our annual Spaghetti Dinner is here! This Saturday, we will be serving a delicious dinner from 4-7 pm. Some Scouts are assigned to set up beginning at 3 pm, others work the dinner itself, while another group will clean up from 7-8 pm.
Scouts should be in uniform and be sure to wear a hat, too.
Check out the link to the Work Schedule to see when you’re assigned to help.
All Scouts are asked to bring a dessert for our dessert table. Please bring enough for 24 servings of “store bought, non-refrigerated” goodies.
