Announcing Eagle Scout Rahil!

RahilOn 30 Oct 2017, the North Star District Advancement team met as a Board of Review during our regular Monday Troop Meeting.  The Board convened to review Rahil V’s credentials to be an Eagle Scout.  After an interview of his current and former Scoutmasters, a thorough evaluation of his documentation followed by a wide-ranging conversation with Rahil, the Board unanimously approved Rahil as our troop’s newest Eagle Scout!  Rahil is, of course, relieved and elated to be done, but has said he hopes to help other Scouts in the troop complete their journey to Eagle.

Watch this space or look for announcements at the troop meeting so you can attend Rahil’s Court of Honor.  Well done, Rahil!  We’re proud of you!

PADS Service Project on Oct 12

The Troop’s first time helping at PADS this year was on Thursday, Oct 12 at United Protestant Church in downtown Grayslake.  Thanks to the great work by the participants (see photo), the work went quick.

It’s important work, too.  We’ll help again in November and December as well. Come on out, make a difference and help your community.
