- Eagle Scout Kevin O’Keefe
Please join me in congratulating Kevin O’Keefe as Troop 96’s newest Eagle Scout!
Kevin passed his Eagle Board of Review this evening and is the 109th Scout from our Troop to attain the rank of Eagle. A tremendous achievement.
- March – New Scout Campout
This past month we camped indoors in the Jadel Center at Camp Crown. We had 26 Scouts and 9 Adults. Our new Scouts were led by our Troop Guides who guided them on setting up camp, tents, food preparation and cleanup (also known as KP – Kitchen Patrol). Contrary to what most children tell adults, they can do dishes.
Other activities included working on Scoutcraft skills, rank advancement, a hike, team building games, our campfire program, and a little free time. A busy Scout is a happy Scout.
The Adult Patrol enjoyed Peach-French Toast for breakfast, soup/sandwiches for lunch, lasagna for dinner and chocolate cake for desert Saturday night. Of note, the soup with lunch was Peanut Butter soup. Never had that before. It was quite good. Love it when the Adult Patrol experiments with the menu. (Trying to get the Scout Patrols to do the same…)
- Wesley R. Eagle Scout
Please congratulate Wesley R. for earning Scouts BSA highest rank and becoming our newest Eagle Scout. He is Troop 96’s 108th Eagle Scout.
